Casa Picola
We dined al fresco, right under speakers blaring bad music. Not a good beginning...
Don't believe them when they say that the pasta salad contains olives. It actually contains half an olive. And you don't even get the pleasure of eating that half whole(!). They had to go and cut into fine pieces... For prettifying purposes, of course.
Sun-dried tomato pasta- a most misleading dish, that. There were no sun-dried tomatoes in it. And it was sweet. A Bangalore thing, perhaps? This unwarranted sweetening of dishes... But not bad, really.
Assorted casserole. Or some such. What a waste of capsicum, mushrooms, cottage cheese, mashed potatoes and creamy oriental sauce (whatever that is). Sigh. The garlic bread was worth it though.
The caramel custard had the texture of coagulated, um, caramel custard; with a hint of basil. Very strange.
I wish the food was as fancy as the decor. Fancy for Casa's standards, that is.
