Oh yes, swoon is the word. I'm going to watch it too. It's been ages since I watched a Rajni movie in the theatre- last was Baasha I think. Wonder if I'll get out alive if I laugh at inappropriate moments or fail to applaud every 2 mins.
i know..just finished seeing the trailer. my god the man is fat now.
and that wig.....ugh. to make it worse, the times of india ran an article were some shady actress was brown nosing him by saying 'oh, only rajni saar with his grace and elegance can carry off a blonde wig'. waht's with the cheap CGI as well..
granted, no reason to gripe abt things like 'rich get richer, poor get poorer' (use appropriate accent) in this film, but still....ew.
oh wait, we're going to be tagged as film snobs now.
mmm..how abt a film? haven't seen either pirates or spidey 3 yet. don't plan to see shrek 3 though.
Yeah, funny thing is he seems thin and gaunt when he appears in public. Oh, and the part where he puts on shades and goes "Cooooool". Ugh.
I've got nothing against the man really- he can be quite good as a comedian. He was fantastic in Thillu Mullu, for instance. And also in ninaithale inikkum. But it's high time he stopped.
I've seen pirates 3 and shrek 3. Not seen spidey 3- eyefry says he loved it, but everyone else says it's awful. How about life in a metro or something?
For the record, I think Sivaji looks awesome. If anything, my reservations are against Shankar, a director whose extremist social vision I find slightly suspect. I thought Indian was blot on the name of cinema, commercial or otherwise. As for Rajni, I think given a good role he'll do remarkably well. I wish someone would cast him in a dark thriller, something noir-ish.
p.s. I didn't say I "loved" spidey3 -- I said I found it thoroughly entertaining. It's great summer fare, nothing more. Anyway, let me know what you two critics thought of it...
O come on, you guys. the movie (Sivaji) wasnt all that bad!! U wouldnt be so critical of it, if you had seen some of the latest crap that he had acted in. 'thilli mullu' was good. My fav is 'Guru shishya' :)

Rajni in a blonde wig- I've seen it all now.

Eye: No doubt Rajni'd do well if given a good role, but Sivaji's an embarrassment.
Oh is that what you said about Spidey 3? I probably got confused with something else, then. Anyway, it was AWFUL. Lot worse than I expected it to be.
Oh well. Different strokes...
